La Raza Centro Legal Congratulates Justin Bigelow

Justin Bigelow began volunteering with La Raza Centro Legal in 2011 with the Day Labor Program and then with the Workers’ Rights program; he joined as the Workers’ Rights Legal Assistant in August 2012. Justin graduated with a BA in Political Science and Hispanic Studies from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2007 after studying and completing independent research for an Honors Thesis in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Justin currently attends UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.

Prior to joining La Raza Centro Legal, Justin worked as a Mediator in the Consumer Services division of the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. Justin mediated consumer complaints in English and Spanish, informing individuals of their legal rights and addressing concerns related to wage garnishments, foreclosures, and consumer contracts. Likewise, Justin was a volunteer tutor helping English language learners at Communidades Latinos Unidos en Servicio in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Justin is an outdoor enthusiast. When he’s not working or studying, Justin enjoys biking, hiking, and an occasional game of ultimate frisbee.
