Introduction

La Raza Centro Legal's Immigration law Program provides assistance to those seeking naturalization and legal status as well as assistance during bond hearings to those who are victims of workplace or home raids.  Often legal status is possible through asylum when persecution in one’s country is inevitable or to those who were brought here by their family and have been leading productive lives, including high grades in school, paying taxes and working long hours with low wages in the San Francisco hotel and restaurant industry.  Women who have legal status because of their husbands may also seek relief if they are in an abusive relationship and must leave their marriage.
